The Parliament of the World’s Religions or P.O.W.R. is a network of individuals and organizations committed to interfaith work that spans every continent save Antarctica. Since 1993, the Parliament has convened four world congresses, the most recent having taken place in Melbourne, Australia between December 3rd and December 9th this past month.
At the January, 2010 meeting of the Twin City area P.O.W.R., we will be hearing a report on Melbourne from Paul Strickland, a leader in the metropolitan area interfaith community.
Paul, formerly the executive director of the Center for Spiritual Inquiry, was a speaker at the Melbourne congress. He will share with us his own gleanings from the intense week as well as the ways in which December’s story telling, heartful connectings, and deliberations might impact further bridge building efforts here and around the world.
The St. Paul Interfaith Network’s Third Annual Interfaith Seder - March 21, 2010
SPIN invites the community to its third annual Interfaith Passover Seder, held this year at Temple of Aaron in St Paul. Led by leaders of several religious traditions, the Seder expresses the universal longing for freedom, justice, and transformation in our lives and in our world through ritual, readings, song, and a shared meal.
